The Razer Atrox Arcade Stick for the Xbox One follows the success of the similarly named Razer Atrox Arcade Stick for the Xbox 360. The Xbox One edition is designed for tournament gamers with eight Sanwa Denshi buttons, both ball top and bat top joysticks as well as one touch access into the platform’s internal components that includes a storage area and a honeycomb structure for easy screw mounting for more in-depth customization. The storage area houses an alternate joystick, a detachable USB cable, and a bundled screwdriver for customizing whenever necessary.
Razer and Microsoft collaborated on a limited edition Killer Instinct faceplate. Additionally, the faceplate can be interchanged with different designs for personalization. The Razer Atrox Arcade Stick for the Xbox One sells for $199.99 and will be available in August 2014.
The customizability of the Razer Atrox Arcade Stick for the Xbox One makes the arcade stick customizable for disabled gamers who require a different button layout and the self-customization allows for disabled gamers to experiment with multiple button layouts in order to determine the most accessible design. Additionally, the arcade stick ports the Xbox One controller’s inputs – X, Y, A, B, RB, LB, RT, LT – into arcade buttons located atop the faceplate which is more accessible for disabled gamers who face inaccessibility with using the triggers and shoulder buttons of a controller.
