Sony is giving Playstation fans the big screen experience by simulcasting the 2014 Playstation Electronic Entertainment Expo in 40-50 theaters across the United States and Canada.

On June 9, 2014 at 8:30 PM ET/5:30 PM PT players can watch the Playstation Press Conference Live in HD on the big screen of a movie theater. Attendees must RSVP due to limited space but the event is free.

The screening will also include 30 minutes of exclusive content featuring extended game footage and developer interviews but most importantly there will be surprise giveaways. Players interested can RSVP here for one ticket per person. Cities are filling up but a waiting list allows players to enter the theater on a first come, first served basis. Additionally, the event is for ages 17 and up thus requiring a form of ID upon arrival.

See Sony’s trailer advertising the experience here.

Accessibility Angle:

E3 is a trade event that is open only to industry professionals and closed to the public. Players watch the presentations online but Sony’s event gives players the opportunity to experience Sony’s press event as close to the actual presentation at E3 as possible.

Movie theaters are subject to disability accessibility laws in the United States thus making the physical location of the broadcast largely accessible for gamers with physical disabilities. However, as disabled gamers are well aware, any accessibility concerns about the physical locality of an event is best handled by a call ahead to address any questions.
