Psychonauts 2 Accessibility Features

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of Psychonauts 2 and now Double Fine has unveiled some of the accessibility options available on release. On top of fully remappable controls and larger subtitles, Psychonauts 2 will also have a designated Invincibility Mode you can turn on in the options menu. This will turn off most forms of damage to the main character Raz, including enemy damage and environmental hazards. It’s clear disabled gamers were the motivation behind many of these options with stated affirmations from the development team like, “All people should be able to enjoy games. All ages, all possible needs.” Psychonauts 2 is already looking to be even more accessible than its predecessor! Look forward to more accessibility news leading up to release on August 25.

Little is known about the new Dead Space Remake, whether it be the possibility of new gameplay mechanics or narrative changes. However, creative director Roman Campos-Oriola wants it to be known that they are dedicated to improving accessibility for this new project. Some form of assist mode was teased, as the developer addressed concerns that the original game could be stressful, and this remake has the potential to open up accessibility for a broader range of players. They also stated there will be different ways to play the game depending on what you need. Dead Space Remake will release sometime in the near future on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
